Here is another round of some of our favorite art submissions. Again, please keep in mind that these are just SOME of the submissions that we like. If you submitted a design and it is not posted below, DO NOT assume that yours will not be chosen.
And to all of you graphic designers who have not yet submitted something, you have until March 31st.

I guess it has to do with artistic taste and aesthetic judgement of the person. The reason I love it so much is because it looks nostalgic and it speaks more than just a nice art/ design, its like music. Thats why I like DJ shadow's music, its so beautifully melancholy for me, it makes me think of movement-- like when I am sitting in a bus watching the streets go by, or the train.

I guess thats why I loved Entroducing cover so much too.

I am surprised everyone seems to love the Yasaman one, It's cool, but I am just not so sure it is the best. I mean some of these other ones display much more artistic ability...

nah,,it has nothing to do with mine not being here....i just assume that there must be tons of these submissions..i personaly would like to see others..but i cant have everything in life that i want of course...im sure that this contest is bringing attention to the site, dj shadow ect..so either way,,its good promotion...especially from the ones who have theirs posted for feedback..
yes i would have liked to see one of mine here,,but im in no way mad about it not being here..i learned a long time ago that not everyone is going to like the same thing. i know my work isnt garbage but i cant say its the best in the world. if i ever think that way,,pls someone put me out...lol

also, i dont think this should turn in to some sort of a space where people can just upload anything and get feedback-- there are online portfolio sites for that and the public votes and gives feedback on what they think your design is. It takes time and effort to make good design- this is not for designers to just get feedback, its for dj shadow to understand what people think of the top few that he's picked

I know what you mean gregorgreg, but I dont think there needs to be all submissions up, if dj shadow and everyone else working with him (like Mike) have chose the top 6. In the end, it should be DJ Shadow's decision, not necessarily the public's. I think the reason they put it up is to see what everyone thinks. And if they've decided that these 6 go, then be it. Maybe you're upset that yours is not here?

or even make a page with all the submissions and let everyone vote on them...the winner doesnt necessarly win,,, but all the artists we get feedback on their work, whether its good feedback or bad

i also want to see more,,i know you guys probably have tons..i entered i think about 6 diferent ones i made. i would like to see what the competition's looks like.
