We originally set out to select 1 member to receive the "Best DJ Shadow Street Team Member Of 2009" Award. We have so many great members who are extremely active in promoting Shadow, and it was very difficult to select just 1, so we split it into 2 categories: Best Online Team Member (promoting online to various social networks and blogs), and Best Hand-To-Hand Member (handing out fliers and stickers). Best Online DJ Shadow Street Team Member Of 2009:

Matthew: I have been diggin' Shadow for about ten years. I first got into Shadow when my friend handed me a copy of Preemptive Strike, I have been a fanatic ever since. I've seen Shadow spin live about 5 times now, the last show being The Hard Sell tour with Cut Chemist. I am a massive collector of everything Shadow has created, and my pride and joy is the URB magazine that I managed to get signed by Shadow. It's framed and hanging over my computer at work. I would love get something signed by both DJ Shadow and Cut Chemist, my two favorite DJs."

Mike Mayer, Washington D.C., USA
Mike: I'm born and raised in the DC area. I've been doing damage in the streets (promoting for bands and artists) since 1993 when Street Team DC was founded. Just being given the opportunity to put in work on behalf of Shadow, who blew my mind and changed my life the first time I ever heard Endtroducing, has been amazing. Because of my work, DJ Shadow has been, and will be building steam (with a grain of salt obviously!) in the DC area you can bank on that.
